Will the thermostat work with the homesight controller?

Gregg,

Thank you for the question. Currently the Thermostat will work with the XG1000 Gateway.

The XG1000 Gateway affords you many of the great functions of the Homesight system, without the need to have your PC constantly running as well as a growing product line.

Hi... I was wondering if I could possibly suggest new products for your Motorola Homesight monitoring package, or inquire if any of these products are planned for release?
1) Smoke/Fire Sensors
2) Explosive Gas Sensors
3) Carbon Monoxide Sensors

Perhaps you could offer a professional version of your product with these items, and possibly with the capability for more than 16 devices and events?

Will the new thermostat work like the old Shell home genie product where you can create and maintain schedules. For example a summer schedule that will auto set the temperature at various times throughout the day.

Xanboo, Inc. said...

Yes, the Thermostat will support similar features as the shell homegenie version did. Please confirm if you are using the XG1000 Gateway.

Please send your questions to our support department at help@xanboo.com.

I added one of these thermostats to my AT&T system and it works really well. It used to kill me when I forgot to turn off the ac or heat for a whole weekend when I was away, now its no bother. I just turn it off on my phone. Very cool. This is the best product you guys offer.

Are there any plans to have the thermostat work with the Homesight controller?

Xanboo, Inc. said...

At this point we are only supporting the thermostat with our new XG1000 gateway. A great deal for the XG1000 gateway is being offered by AT&T at www.attrm.com. For $99 you get a gateway, door sensor, pan tilt IP camera and 2 PLC modules. The camera alone normally retails for $199.

Can I use the gateway without subscribing to the online service? I would rather just use remote desktop.

Will the Wireless Thermostat work with 220 VAC baseboard heaters?

Anonymous said...

The gateway will only work with the service. Service is $9.95 a month and provides sms/email messaging, live remote video and device control.

There thermostat will not currently support baseboard heaters.

Do these wireless thermostats work with Heat Pumps? if not, when do you think they will be available?

These thermostats require professional installation. Are there any plans to complement these thermostats with ones that only require that you replace the current thermostat?
