This system is pretty cool. I have the homesight system with 3 wireless cameras and a wired camera as well as a few door sensors. I have to say that this system is one of the better ones that I have had and by far the least expensive. Even though I pay a monthly fee, it is well worth it.

I have the cameras focused on the nursery, so I can watch my baby while I am at work.

I have 2 cameras that I set up with a motion sensor by my window. Whenever anyone approaches my door, I check my cell phone for images to see who it is, to determine if I answer the door or not. It's like caller ID for the front door. I love it.

I have the Motorola Homesight system with 3 wireless cams, a siren, a few power switches and several door and window contacts and surely, with having a device schedule setup, the system emails me on Gmail and my cell also with video feeds or pics. Well, last week I got emails while at work and a text message saying my contact and motion sensor cam was triggered. I surely saw a maintenance worker enter my apartment and snoop around, disabling the siren but not even realizing all was on 30 second clips being taped. I called the police and the partment people and well, subsequently, the lady now is facing felony charges since she stole prescription pills and a Police report was filed, I even burned the Police the video feeds and the DA will have an easy conviction. The apartment complex had to see the footage and was in shock, as I now have proof of their employees stealing and things. Just wanted to share my great experience.

Hi I have a cat. She is pretty independent. I have always been able to go away for the weekend and leave her plenty of food and water. Then I moved to a new house. I installed a cat door and set up the food, went away for the weekend only to come back and find the food empty and kitchen a complete catastrophe. Mud and cat food everywhere. I got my video cam to check and find out what was getting in. Now I know. I found out racoons had discovered the cat door and were coming in and eating the cat food, washing their hands in her water and leaving muddy prints all over the floor. They were like gremlins coming in in the night. My poor cat was terrified.
I had an exterminator deal with the racoons. Now I use the cat cam to check on her food while I am away. If she is low I can call a friend and have them go by and feed her. Otherwise I don't have to bother anyone.

Linda, you can put a door sensor on the cat door and each time its triggered you could have the camera take a snapshot or short video clip. In addition, the water sensor could let you know when the bowl is out of water as well.
